2001 thru 2005
MUNSEE: A Quality District FIVE years running. If you didn’t know, Districts can achieve quality status
much like local Scouting programs submit for Quality Unit status. The requirements intend to paint a picture of Scouting's progress in our
service area: Eastern Union County. Are we reaching more youth? Does
the Scouting community and the business community have a positive image of the
program? Have we increased our
ability to serve unit level volunteers? Do
local Scouting programs meet the minimum national standards? Are we reaching out to the community letting them know we are alive and
well?
As
many of you know, Eastern Union County has become more difficult to serve as
demographics change. Nevertheless, over the last
three years, we have worked hard to meet the needs of
the changing community and we have met the challenge. As one of
our veteran Scouters, Dick Ivory, said, “let’s toot our own horn!” Patriots Path Council has six districts. In 2003, Only two of them achieved Quality District: Munsee--serving eastern Union County--and Fishawack--serving eastern
Morris County (Great Job and Congratulations Fishawack).
The District Committee and Commissioner staff
dedicate themselves to your success. You
will be hearing from many of us shortly. Let
us know how you are doing. If you
feel alone out there…we are here to walk you through. Together, over the last three years, we have a made a big difference in
the lives of youth in our communities. Be Proud! Keep moving forward. You
are never alone! This journey is
on-going. And we intend to
continually raise the quality of Scouting in Munsee District.
I
LOVE SCOUTING! And I know you do too! Munsee
may be small, but we have a great deal of spirit! Let all hear…We are one of the top districts in the
council! Be Proud!
